Goal setting
It's that time of year where many are working to make their goals for the upcoming year. Whether these goals are small or large, they play a spot of importance in each and every person's life. Oftentimes, setting the goal is the easy part while completing the goal is more challenging. Let's look at ways to make clear, obtainable goals to assist with making them a reality.
One of the most important things with goal setting is creating a time limit. Having an end goal assists with motivation to complete these goals. Knowing when you would like them to be achieved can assist with taking more steps towards completing the goals. Remember, just because you have a timeline does not mean you have.failed if you do not complete the goal in that time frame. Instead, it may just mean the goal needs a little more time than expected and that's okay! This can be a rough timeline for the goal.
Next, it is important to track progress of the goal that is made. More often than not, goals take more than one step to achieve. Tracking each and every achievement leading up to the goal can assist with this progress. One example of this may be a goal to read more in the year of 2025. Instead of putting oneself down on the number of books read, looking at the time spent reading a page can assist with showing progress made towards the goal.
Lastly, it is important to truly define what the goal is that you are wanting to achieve. This helps eliminate any confusion with the goal as well as makes a set idea/plan that the goal is important and wanting to be achieved. Let's utilize these steps to make more achievable and attainable goals. Make sure to remember the baby steps to get to these goals.
