We want you to get the care you need.
Jami Carey, LMFTA
Taking that first step to begin counseling is not an easy task. It takes courage, and I have a deep respect for that. It is a privilege for me to come alongside you in your journey towards your goals, and I provide a safe space to help you achieve those goals. I believe our relationships and experiences throughout our lives shape how we think and act, so I consider all aspects of wellness in the therapeutic process: mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and relational. I primarily use EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), EFiT, Narrative Therapy, and SandTray therapy, but I incorporate and adjust therapies to meet the needs of each individual, couple, and family.
I have loved helping others for as long as I can remember. It is a passion the Lord placed on my heart many years ago, and for over 30 years, I have helped others as a registered nurse. Throughout my time as a registered nurse, the Lord kept whispering to my heart that I would be helping others emotionally through counseling. I finally went back to school and earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University. My desire is to use my experiences and knowledge to continue to help others be the best version of themselves and live out their God-given strengths.
My husband and I are empty-nesters and parents of three grown children and parents-in-law to our beautiful daughter-in-law, whom we just call “daughter”. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening (or anything outside!), exercising, and serving on the youth ministry team at my church.
Jami accepts Anthem BCBS, Aetna (coming soon), and private pay.
